Reading

hayro, a PDF renderer in Rust, draws the pages, in a process of its own for each document. The pages sit in one column, fitted to the window's width at first; Super8 fits the width, Super9 the page, Super0 is 100%. Go to Page… is AltSuperG. The sidebar (AltSuperS) shows each page small, or the document's outline, marking where you are.

Text and links

Drag to select across pages, double-click a word, triple-click a line. Find (SuperF) searches the whole document from the page you're on. Links within the document go to their place; web and mail links open in their apps, and a document can't start programs.

Your place

Each document opens where you left it, at the same zoom and with the same sidebar. A file that changes while it's open, a LaTeX build or a download finishing, is read again where you are.

Sturdy and fast

A page that trips the renderer costs that page, not the window: Shiori starts another worker and carries on. Pages are drawn in tiles for exactly the zoom and the screen's scale, and the pages above and below are drawn ahead.
